In a close game the Anarchy City Chaos got by the Burbank Tigers by the score
of 4 to 2.
In the 3rd inning Anarchy City went on top for good scoring a single run
utilizing 2 base hits. Brandon Phillips stroked a base-hit. Carl Crawford
stepped up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. One out later, Alex Rios
came to the plate and hit a single. Rios was safe at second on a stolen
base. Carlos Delgado struck out, unable to help the rally. Burbank had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
The victory was credited to C.C. Sabathia(4-3) who went 8 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Scott Downs recorded the save, his 7th. Brett Myers(1-5)
was tagged with the loss. He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings giving up 13 hits and
1 walk.
When questioned about the loss, Wes Davies said, 'The fans got to see an
exciting game out there this afternoon. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it
done this time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the
smiles.'
